We now return to the main story. When Ardenis grew up, he received a pirate ship like other adopted sons, but he wanted more.

With his brilliant combat skills he built up his own fleet within six months.

His name was soon famous throughout the Southern Seas and the young pirate made his presence felt.

The rise of Ardenis indirectly induced the growth of another faction - the Four Seas Trade Council.

Because Ardenis was once adopted by Olsen, he didn't allow his ships to attack the ships of that particular chamber.

Because their ships were not attacked by pirates on a regular basis, the chamber's ships made a good deal more profit than their competition. Merchants decided to join the chamber to take advantage of this.

Therefore when Ardenis's power was at its peak, the Four Seas Trade Council saw its business grow in leaps and bounds as well.

Ardenis wasn't all good news for the Four Seas Trade Council. As pirates rarely attacked Four Seas Trade Council ships, Kaslow thought at one point that they were in league with the Black Bone Pirates.

The investigation found no proof however and petered out. It did cause the Four Seas Trade Council some inconvenience however.
