On the next day, tragedy struck, as the Fort Sergeants came suddenly to Elena's house, abducting her without warning. In the wake of their terrible deeds, they looted her valuables and burned down her house. Oh, her night had been sweet, but how bitter the dawn of this new day!

What was more appalling was that the Fort Sergeants looted all of Elena's valuables and event proceeded to burn down her house completely.

The Chief of Guards burned with lust for Elena, moreso than even the cronies in his regiment, and by abducting her, he set into motion his plan to force her to marry him AND take revenge for the guards who were beaten down the previous day. Poor Elena...is it a crime to be such a beauty?

Not long after the officers left, Damian arrived to deliver some fish to Elena. As he saw the charred remains of her house, he let out a cry and fell to his knees before the burnt abode.

Frantically, he searched for Elena in the remains of her home, but could find nothing. Just then, a small child who had been in hiding and witnessed the entire scene, emerged and told Damian what had transpired.

The worst of Damian's fears were eased, knowing that Elena still lived. However, she was in dire peril, and so the martial artist began to draw up a plan to rescue her from the clutches of the villainous Fort Guards.

The rough area around the fortress confounded Damian, however, and so the little boy from Elena's neighborhood told him a secret. When he was playing near the fortress, he spotted a special crab and chased it. As he did, he was surprised to discover an unpatrolled underground waterway that ran beneath the fortress

The boy took Damian to the waterway. Damian would proceed from there on his own, but danger promised to lurk around every turn. But even as fears played about his heart, he summoned up the memories of Elena's passionate kiss, and it crushed every doubt in his heart!

"Yosh! I'm coming for you, my love!" Damian shouted, fists clenched. "Let's do this thing!"
