The Hill Giants' army is divided into two groups. One group includes the Hill Giant Guards, who protect the tribal village. The other is made up of the Hill Giant Warriors, who hunt.

They do not train their forces and only classify their soldiers by strength and gender.

Adult male Hill Giants are automatically regarded as members of the military. Stronger Gaints are Warriors, and lesser ones become Guards.

Because of their rather savage temperament, Hill Giant Warriors often attack the residents living in the Belcar Plateau. They also go after travelers and steal their belongings.

Locals detest Hill Giants; they frequently urge the armed forces to wage war on them.

I discovered that Hill Giants only stole valuables because they were obsessed with shiny, sparkly jewelry; though they rarely had occasion to wear it, they believed it would bring them luck.

Hill Giants aren't so bad; they just have a taste for the finer things in life. They adore things that glitter. They're the Elizabeth Taylors of the Cro-Magnon world.

However, the enormous figure I saw that day was not a Hill Giant.
