Plague Forest used to be verdant and beautiful. Many Kaslow noblemen vacationed there.

With time, the city of Bern developed into a bustling place.

\However, the plague wiped out all signs of life. The flowers wilted, the grass dried up into brown stumps, and the birds flew away. The plague even affected the treants living in the west of the woods, turning them into evil Wicked Wisewoods.

The treants who used to inhabit this area were a mysterious but peaceful species. They would sometimes collect fruits and mushrooms and deliver them as gifts to the inhabitants of Bern. People returned the favor by offering the treants sweet spring water.

After the plague spread, treants who became Wisewoods forgot their friendships with humans and began attacking those they had once treated to fruitcakes and mushroom pizza. Humans fled, and Bern lay in ruins.

Nobody knows how much longer they can stay. Scholars are working overtime to try to find a way to save the city and return it to its former glory, but who knows how long that will take?
