I investigated the Swift Dragons on the Belcar Plateau.

Swift Dragons occupied the central plateau and attacked everything they saw. Animals ran at the sight of them; no one stood a chance against their speed and razor-sharp claws.

Swift Dragons considered the entire plateau their turf and saw other animals as intruders. Their leader, Sonora, was at the root of their behavior.

Before Sonora became the leader, Swift Dragons did not invade other animals' territories. They were self-sufficient and content on their own land.

However, when their leader died, Sonora barged his way into power and commanded his legions to expand their territory. His aggressive ways became par for the course for these beastly creatures.

Threatened by the Dragons' aggression, the animals that survived left the plateau.

But that wasn't enough for Sonora. He became crazed with power. Those who wouldn't submit to his command were reduced to dragon food, which, by the way, tastes mostly like ash.

The Swift Dragons reigned over every other animal, moving in packs across the land and destroying whatever they saw. However, this nightmare was temporarily suspended after their battle with the apes.
