The boy child grew into a tall, smart young. His bright eyes shone like glittering stars.

Andre seemed to have unusual powers. This power became all the more evident at night under a starry sky.

His talent, however, made him proud and arrogant. He was particularly cruel to those of other races.

Under the celestial blanket of another quiet night, Andre slipped out of his house with ease to embark on another mean-spirited hunt.

"Going out again tonight, Andre?" asked a freckled youth.

"Oh, yes." Andre said. "I've learnt a few more moves. I'm going to let those buggers out there get a taste of it."

The freckled young boy sighed. "I envy you. I try really hard, but all I manage are a few sparks."

After the terrible massacre, Andre looked with satisfaction at his magically charged hands and headed back along the road to the village.

Though he was quite bright, he had no inkling of the tragedy awaiting him. The monsters that he thought were so weak and helpless banded together, seething with anger and hate. The seed of revenge had begun to sprout in their hearts.

Andre's cruelty fueled their rage.
