1. A Chance Encounter

Bryant quarreled with his parents and ran away, deep into the woods. Upon hearing pained cries, he looked behind a rock to find a group Stone Lizards (Note 1) surrounding a wounded animal.

Bryant threw stones at the lizards, chasing them away from the injured creature. The Stone Lizards eventually fled.

Note 1: Stone Lizards live in the north of the Land of Sighs. Their coloring resembles the rocks there.

After Bryant drove away the Stone Lizards, he examined the wounded creature. "Is this a dragon?" he wondered.

The dragon, likely from Dragon Rock Dwelling, only suffered minor bruising. Bryant surmised that perhaps it fell during its flight training. Were it not for Bryant's lucky timing, the Stone Lizards would have polished the dragon off.

Bryant dared not bring the dragon home. He carefully placed it in a rock cave nearby and named it "Rob."
