L35. Young Kukuryu

Kukuryu was once a powerful wizard among the Goblin clans.

As a baby, he only fed on rotten carcasses. He refused to eat anything that wasn't crawling with maggots, and he became a frail, weak child. Diseased Goblins often teased him. Friendless, he lived alone.

One day, the Diseased Goblins let Kukuryu fall off a cliff. He clung to the side as the Goblins laughed and left him for dead. A passing wizard saved him; thus began his lifelong obsession with magic.

Having left his village, Kukuryu and the wizard went into hiding in the mountains not far from the Goblin tribal village.

When the wizard learned of Kukuryu's tragic life, he decided to transfer the knowledge he'd accumulated throughout his lifetime to Kukuryu. Kukuryu vowed to return to his tribe one day to contribute to the Goblin clan.

Kukuryu learned quickly, devouring magic books and mastering things even the seasoned wizard couldn't have hoped to learn.

One day, the wizard walked in on Kukuryu practicing incredibly powerful magic. "Your journey with me ends here. There's nothing more I can teach you," said the wizard.

Kukuryu reluctantly left the wizard and returned to the Goblins' tribal village.
