Highland Sage Dulai

"This is no place for you, puny traveler."

"Misty Plateau is a very dangerous place. If you can defeat the Colossus at the Sahan Vine you might stand a chance there."

"Otherwise, stay away."

Dulai looks you up and down. What! You defeated the Colossus?"

His tone becomes more friendly."Welcome to Misty Plateau!"

"I am working on a biography and I need some historical references."

"Serenity Cemetery in particular holds many great people."

"I heard that Surreal Moonbeam has a record of these people's lives. Could you go borrow it for me?"

(You give Dulai the scroll.)

Dulai reads through the scroll and looks surprised."Wonderful! This scroll will really help with the biography I'm working on."

"Hmm? Who are you?"

(You try to introduce yourself.)

"Is that so... And?"

"Oh, Angelica asked you to bring it here? Bless her."

He seems surprised for an instant, but quickly regains his poker-face.

"Hmph... The Highland Lord's ceremonies use a lot of venison. The lizards near the temple love venison too."

"You should punish these lowly creatures for desecrating the offerings to Smulca. As it happens, there is someone willing to pay for their skins."

"His name is Releno, and you can find him in the Weasel Camp to the east."

"Do you want to make some extra money?"

"Then bring me some Lizard Teeth. On the plateau, Lizard Teeth represent the souls of war. They are also a symbol of the Highland Lord Temple's blessing."

"We will always pay a good price for these teeth," says Dulai.

"Other than their teeth, we will also buy their Sawteeth."

"Once the teeth have the Highland Lord has blessed them and craftsmen have polished them, they make an excellent accessory for warriors."

Well done, child. Here is your reward.

"Ape fur is another popular product from our temple. The apes live around the mountain trail leading to the Weasel Camp in the east."

"Bring me their pelts and I'll pay a good price for them."

"The ape fur is very thick and warm, and they breathe as well. Hunt as many as you can!"

"After we work on the fur they will provide many faithful families with a night of warmth."

You have done well. May the Highland Lord watch over you.

Dulai glances at you. "I and several sages have been working through the Temple's archives to compile a chronology."

"The Sprite King's revelations during recent prayers all indicate that a time of great change is coming to Deepfathom. However, we have been unable to find sufficient supporting evidence."

He clears his throat. "I suspect that Dove, the Wasteland Witch, has some documents of great importance to Deepfathom in her possession. Those documents may be stored at the Destiny Coven to the southeast of the Temple."

"Try to get those documents for Surreal Moonbeam to decipher. The more serious the situation, the sooner we need to know everything about it."

"What happened to my crystal...?" Dulai looked at the crystal in his hand, then turned to you.

"Oh, faithful believer, I've an opportunity for you to contribute to the Sprite King. Can you take this crystal to Mina, the Eternal Sage?"

"She should be able to clear up the crystal. The Temple of Eternity is located in the southwest plateau."
