Valerie glares at you."Trespasser..."

"Are you here to challenge me? Or are you here to hunt monsters?" Valerie takes up a fighting stance.

(You quickly shake your head to show that you mean her no harm.)

"Prove your intentions through your actions then."

"It seems you know a thing or two after all."

(You explain your purpose here to Valerie.)

"Since you made my work a lot easier, I will allow you to bury the antique sword in my territory."

(Valerie notices you looking up the giant vine.)

"You want to use this get to Misty Plateau?" Valerie gives you a mocking smile.

"Misty Plateau is even more dangerous than this place. I think even my Guardian Colossus can smash a weakling like you with ease."

"Like me, Dulai the Sage of the Highlands hates fools who don't know their place. You must defeat my Guardian Colossus to convince Dulai that you have what it takes to go adventuring in the Plateaus."

"Run home if you don't want to get hurt!"

"The Giant Mantises and Sahan Mantises around the Sahan Vine are very ferocious. They have huge, sickle-like claws that they often use to hack away at the great vine."

"Their numbers have exploded recently, and I fear for the great vine."

"I will reward you well if you can reduce their numbers."

"The damage to the great vine is worse than I realized."

"Unless the Giant Mantises and Sahan Mantises are brought under control soon, the damage might outstrip the great vine's ability to heal itself," Valerie says with a worried look.

Valerie's eyes lit up when she heard Ardenis's name.

"Ardenis is a legendary pirate. I've heard a lot about him."

"His fleet is just undefeatable and its power spread far across the ocean."

"You want to know what happened to him?"
