Magic Academy Mage Nynor

You present Nynor with his portion of meat.

"..." He accepts the offering without a word.

"Sprite Messenger! Sprite Messenger!" Nynor is calling you.

You ask him what the matter is.

"Is it true that you can communicate with the Giga Crystal? If so, then you're the only one who can help me. I need you to gather some informaton." Nynor hastily shuffles through the stacks on his desk before whipping out a piece of paper.

"There are some things I just can't seem to figure out. For starters, how were the magic crystals formed? What makes them sentient? The answers would constitute the greatest breakthrough on the subject to date!" He eagerly waves the paper in your face.

"I can't wait to hear what you have to tell me!"

"Presumably, the crystals are formed from the bodies of humans..."

"It sure would explain a lot! It would also support some of my other theories. This could be huge!" Nynor is feverish with enthusiasm.

"Well, was I right? Tell me how they're formed!"

You reveal everything you learned from the Giga Crystal.

"..." Nynor silently takes in your words.

"Let me see if I have this right... The crystals acquire the consciousness and mass of their human hosts? Fascinating!"

"But I'm still left with questions about the chaotic energy. Give me some time to delve deeper."

"I think I might've found a way to test what the Giga Crystal spoke of!" Nynor roots around in his bag.

"Ah, here! These three magic stones possess the ability to stabilize space-time energy. There's the Magic Water Stone, Magic Wind Stone, and Magic Fire Stone."

"I need you to take them to (294, 294), (458, 215), and (155, 429) respectively. Now go!"

"Did you place the stones at the correct locations?"

"Now for the moment of truth!"

He shifts about impatiently.

Something in the air suddenly changes, though you can't be sure whether it has anything to do with the experiment.

Nynor, on the other hand, appears not to have noticed it.

Suddenly the ground beneath your feet trembles.

"Was that an explosion?" Nynor looks around.

You confess that you heard it too.

"I was so confident that the magic stones would work. Where did I go wrong? My entire life has been dedicated to studying Carso. I thought for sure that this was my chance to catch a glimpse of his power, but it was just wishful thinking." His shoulders sag with disappointment.

"I guess I don't possess the ability to balance chaotic energy on my own."

"Well, there you have it. Why don't you go tell that huge magic crystal what happened. Maybe it can come up with a better idea." The poor guy looks ready to throw in the towel.

You assure Nynor that he can count on you.

You turn toward the sound of a chuckle only to find Nynor standing alone. He looks pleased for some reason.

"Hey, you."

You obey his beckoning finger.

"I was thinking, I can't keep asking you to run off and speak with the Giga Crystal every time I have a question. It'd be better if I could speak with it myself, right? Well, I think I've found a way!"

"The Giga Crystal might share similar elements with the Spatial Crystal Spider and the Time Formed Crystal King, Odin.

Grinding up and consuming their crystals could grant me the ability to communicate! Well, in theory, that is." Nynor smiles optimistically.

"Hurry and bring me some so I can test it out!"

Nynor begins pondering how best to process the crystals. "Hmm...

Breaking them into smaller pieces should make them easier to grind up, right...?"

Now, where have you heard of this method before?

"Finally, you're back! Thanks!"

Without further ado, Nynor grinds up the crystals and downs the powder.

A few moments pass with baited breath when suddenly ....

"Urgh!"

"M-my stomach... Guess that didn't work!"

Nynor clutches his tummy and retreats inside his house.
