Pippen mutters, perhaps speaking from experience.

"The monsters here are multiplying like I've never seen! Perhaps they have obtained Carso's ability to control time..."

"Come see me when you're ready for the next step! I'll tell you what to do."

"As I said, the monsters appear to be using Carso's power over time to multiply at this rate."

"Simply killing them won't do any good!" Evol says.

"Luckily I know a way to get rid of the monsters for good, but I'll need your help to gather the necessary items! Once you've collected what I need, I'll show you."

"Rusty Saberboars and Granite Saberboars have just the materials needed to make something that will drive the monsters away."

"You must hunt them first in order to gather it. Get going, Sprite Messenger! Hurry!"

"Excellent! This is just the amount I need,"

Evol says, taking the items from you and weighing them carefully in his hands.

"This won't take but a moment,"

he says, working quickly.

"It's finished! Take this bag of powder and scatter it evenly around the Desert of Resonance."

"Just one whiff of this stuff and those monsters'll be running for the hills!"

Evol says confidently.

"What are you standing around here for?"

"Hurry off to the Desert of Resonance!"

"Isn't this powder incredible? Ha! Sometimes I impress even myself!"

"The powder should deceive the monsters into believing a more dangerous creature is nearby,"

Evol explains.

"It's both simple and effective. What more could you ask for?"

"Why don't you head back to the outpost? I'm sure the Guard Leader will be extremely pleased to hear that the Desert of Resonance is now monster-free. Now he and his troops will be able to use the land to launch an attack."

"By the way, don't forget to put in a good word for me with Pippen! After all, I did half the work! And good work at that! Ha!"

Evol gloats, puffing out his chest a bit.

You give the Rift Sprite Messenger's certificate to Evol, who furrows his brow.

"Oh, for crying out loud... This has nothing to do with anything. Wozhors forgot again, didn't he?"

Evol shakes his head in despair.

"Look, I apologize for dragging you out here. I'll deal with Wozhors later, but for now, I'm sure we all have better ways to spend our time."

Wozhors continues to debate with himself as you leave.

"Wozhors! What a buffoon! You should steer clear of that moron if you know what's good for you,"

Evol exhorts you.

"He almost ruined the guards' best-laid plans, and it would've gone completely south if it hadn't been for you, Sprite Messenger.

Evol is more than angry; he seems genuinely furious.
