My thoughts were too tangled up with pain to be put into words. I chose to bury them deep within me.

Her mother tearfully handed me a pale pink flower, my very own miraculous, healing flower, made entirely of pink envelopes. Every petal reverberated with memories of her and ensured I would never forget her.

(The author supposedly demanded to be buried in the cemetery called the Dead End Cemetery. If you visit it, you might see their graves.)

Amidst the many similar tombstones, you noticed a small flower engraved in one. Words had been carved in the stone, but they had mostly worn away with time. However, you could make out the words, "Here I swear. Eternal love..."

You wiped the dust from the gravestone and carefully traced the pale pink bloom engraved upon it with the tip of your finger.
