Memoir II: Wolves

I remember a Bern rich in animal life. At one time, it was a hot spot for hunting contests. The rich and famous often targeted wolves in the Woodlands' southern tip. Killing the wolves helped maintain the ecological balance of the area, plus, wolf meat sandwiches are deelish.

When the plague arrived, the wolves in the forest turned into Withered Bone Wolves. Hunting these hellish creatures was out of the question.

Because of the plague, the wolf became more savage and cruel. They would attack other animals and people without rhyme or reason, and Bern soon became their target.

The wolves slaughtered everything in their sight, sending several animal species into extinction. People in Bern lived in fear and constantly pondered moving away from their beloved city.

Such tragedies could not be described with words. Personally, I was horrified by the behavior of the Withered Bone Wolves, but I could not stop them.

I wish this blasted plague never existed.
