Kukuryu returned to the village just as the army was recruiting new soldiers. Timidly, he signed up.

A Goblin Bushwhacker scoffed at him. "A weakling like you? Are you crazy? Get out of here!"

The others took one look at his bony physique and burst into laughter.

Angered, Kukuryu muttered a spell, and lightning slashed the sky. A rumble of thunder frightened the Goblin Bushwhackers.

After joining the military forces, Kukuryu sought to prove his abilities and, armed with evil witchcraft, he repeatedly shocked the other soldiers with his sheer power.

He buried the hatchet with his fellow tribesmen and often used his witchcraft to help his people. As time went by, he gradually won the respect of the tribe.

One day, the Goblin king came to the tribal village where Kukuryu lived for an inspection. The tribe unanimously elected Kukuryu as the king's protector.

During the inspection, Werewolves attacked the king's entourage. Kukuryu used his magic to save the king and drive away the werewolves.

The king owed his life to Kukuryu and granted him the title of "Carudi," the Goblin equivalent of a professor.
