The mountain camp was apparently not a very good foothold, so General William decided to continue searching for a suitable site.

The soldiers traveled through the difficult terrain of the mountains. Unfortunately, General William's army encountered terrible creatures known as Metal Ape-Men to the east of the Eternal Mountains.

Metal Ape-Men could not be killed with weapons, as they had metal exteriors, and, despite their name, were not tempted by offers of bananas.

General William had to think quickly to save his troops from certain disaster.

"Hold your shields! Line up in shield array!" The soldiers formed an array to resist the attacks.

After a series of their attacks had little effect, the Metal Ape-Men eventually retreated.

Although the Ape-Men had not injured many soldiers, their shields and weapons were damaged, and morale hit an all-time low.

(Metal Ape-Man in the Eternal Mountains attacked you, and it was less than fun, so you empathize with the soldiers' situation.)
