"Unfortunately, the scouts I dispatched earlier to the Condemned Mine all returned with their tails between their legs. The enemy presence there is much stronger than anticipated," Bannan huffs while massaging the gap between his eyes in exasperation.

"This situation requires capable people, %n%, which is why I've decided to leave it in your hands."

"I need you to go to the Collapsed Condemned Mine and flush out the goblin leader while keeping your eyes peeled for suspicious activity."

"Were you able to locate the goblin leader?" Bannan turns to you expectantly.

"And did you happen to come across anything unusual?"

"The leader is a beastman technician, you say?" he asks, his brow lifting slightly.

"While I'm hardly fazed by Carso's choice in upper management, it's somewhat surprising that we haven't gotten wind of this sooner. The leader must have been operating remotely up till now. As for this bag of ore, I'll have the scientists look it over. With any luck they'll be able to shed some light on what Carso's army is after in the mine."
