""The war happened so quickly. I didn't have time to decide what I wanted to do. I was part of the battle before I even realized it."

"War is like a whirlpool. It just draws you deeper and deeper."

"I am going to return home when the war ends. Take a look at this photo of my granddaughter; isn't she beautiful?" Bruiser asked, tears shimmering in his eyes."

Dialogues

About the granddaughter

Interaction

Response :
"I spent too much time in the pursuit of wealth in my youth."

"The Sprite King smiled upon me, though, and gave me my cute little granddaughter in my old age."

"Wait for grandpa! When grandpa strikes it rich, he'll head straight home and hug you tight!" Bruiser exclaimed.

These artillery shells are for you.

Interaction

Response :
"Oh, yes! That's what I'm talkin' about! With this kind of ordinance, we could blow away the moon if we really wanted to! Just stack them over there." Bruiser says, pointing to an empty corner.

"What are you doing? One at a time?! It'll take forever if you do it like that! Here, do it like me and grab them all in one go..." The weight of the shells seems too much for Bruiser.

One of the artillery shells falls to the floor.

Quest dialogues

L84. Beastman Treasure Hunting 1 (REP)
Intermediate
"There must always be a reason behind everything we do!"

"The Beastmen do not believe in anything; they hunt and kill viciously and without reason."

"I know that good will triumph over evil. It simply must!" shouted Shannon.
End
"I didn't expect you to do so much!"

"More importantly, I can tell that you've found your calling."

"I know you can lead us to victory in this crusade!"

L88. Beastman Treasure Hunting 2 (REP)
Intermediate
"War flows like the tide, carrying us along with it!"

"You probably appreciate this better than everyone, as you are at the heart of the tidal wave."

"I'll never give up on our goals," Shannon announced, clutching the hilt of his sword tightly.
End
"You disrupted the enemy formation. I hope our commander will exploit this opening and launch an attack."

"No matter how this battle ends, know that you've done your best. Leave the rest to fate!" Shannon looked up at the golden sunset, suddenly peaceful.

"If we don't have the courage to fight for what's right, we're no better than the Beastmen."

"The Beastmen do not believe in anything - especially not morals, ethics, or respect."

"I believe that we will soon triumph in this war."
End
"My name is Bruiser, and I am assigned to the Kaslow Wilderness."

"I can tell from your determined expression that you have mastered the secrets of war."

"I know you will lead us to victory in this crusade!"

"Please accept this small token of gratitude from us. I don't know where these map fragments will lead, but if you piece them together, you're bound to find something."

L72. Emergency Report for Bruiser
Intermediate
"Haha! Isn't my little granddaughter just the cutest thing you ever saw? Come in, come in. Please, make yourself at home! Say, have I showed you this photo of my little darling, yet?"

Despite Bruiser's best intentions, his near-obsessive devotion to his granddaughter is a bit much to stomach.
End
"Ah, I see,"

he muses while stroking his chin.

"I put Frantik in charge of planning for the next attack, but I see now that any strategy he comes up with will require serious revision."

"Those Beastmen might not be as dimwitted as they look. This is a rather interesting development, indeed!"

"Please accept this reward for bringing the situation to my attention. Oh, and one more thing! Have I shown you this other photo of my granddaughter yet?"
