Chapter 4:

The onslaught was too much to withstand. The shards battered us to the ground and all we could do was stare helplessly up at the crystal.

"Do you want to save your friend?" asked a strange, shadowy figure who seemed to appear before us out of thin air.

"Yes! Please! I need to save Colman!" Lulu cried out without a moment's hesitation.

The mysterious figure seemed to smile at that. Slowly, it raised its hands and a gout of flickering shadow erupted from them, enveloping Lulu completely.

"Lulu!" I shouted, my gaze still fixed on the strange being. There was something unsettlingly familiar about it...

I tore my eyes away long enough to see Lulu give a simple wave of her hand. The crystal emitted a piercing shriek and dissolved into a cloud of vapor.

However, when I looked into her eyes, I could see that this was not the same Lulu we knew.

"Follower of Quill. It's a pleasure to welcome you into our midst."

With those cryptic words, the ghostly figure suddenly vanished, leaving Colman in her frozen state.

After that, Lulu was never the same. She'd lost a good part of her memory and whenever she'd see me, she would cry out "Colman!"

I'm not Colman.

But if that is who you need me to be, I'll be your Colman, gladly.

Until we can get back what you've lost,

I will be by your side, always.

I am your Colman.
