Elder Prophet Substitute Anthorra

"It's you! What did you learn?"

"Noll told you to come find me?"

"Argh! I hate that sour, awful smell that constantly surrounds him. That's why I ran away and came here."

You tell Anthorra about the results of Noll's research.

"Hmm. I guess he's useful for something after all. He figured out that whole Alternate Dimension thing pretty quickly."

"But wait, you're telling me this whole thing is because of some war between the Drifters?"

"That means all of the scout parties have been slaughtered by now, right?"

"Well... maybe some made it through."

Anthorra shows you the ragged banner.

"I never thought we would actually be attacked. The culprits must be nearby."

"I don't want to go near that disgusting place. It really gives me the creeps!"

"Help me investigate the fortress. If you find those crazed disciples, take them out. Careful though, they may have rigged the place with traps."

"Good luck out there!"

"Did you find anything? You're back here faster than I expected."

"You didn't skip out on me, did you? What did you find?"

"Oh... did you find someone from the Investigation Team?"

You tell Anthorra what you discovered in the fortress.

"You're telling me those crazy disciples have something to do with the vanguard's disappearance?"

"They must have ambushed them! There's no other way they could win."

"I knew things weren't right in that fortress. This just proves it!"

"It looks like we'll have to collect some intel before we head back."

Anthorra points at you.

"Help me see if those disciples have anything useful. Maybe they'll provide some clues."

"What kind of clues? I don't know. Maybe they have pendants with strange symbols on them or something."

"We won't know until we start looking. There's definitely something sinister going on. I just know it! We will expose their vile lies!"

"Well? What did you find?"

"If you didn't find anything, go look harder!"

"That's it?"

"Gah! You're useless! I don't know what I was thinking sending you in there!"

"Show me what you've found!"

"Sprite King... Carso? THE Carso?"

(Anthorra's whispers and your ears perk up.)

"If my memory serves me right, Zindel and the Drifters were once disciples of Carso."

"They must be working with the others. That must be it! We've been bamboozled!"

"They must have lured us here. I bet they're going to try to take us out!"

"We have to gather more evidence."

"These guys must have a leader."

"Can you investigate deeper into the fortress next time? Maybe you can find their leader, The Carso Church Preacher. That guy is nuts!"

"You should be able to learn more about how the Drifters are linked to Carso."

"Ok. Off you go then."

"How's it going? Did you find their leader?"

You start to tell Anthorra about what you found, as well as the identity of the Carso Church leader.

"Aha! Just as I thought! They are actually the Drifters!"

"They can control time, just like Zindel!"

"This power has to be linked to Carso in some way. The Alternate Dimension holds more secrets than we know."

"We have to keep them from completing whatever they're planning."

"Go tell Noll everything we've learned so far. Hurry!"

"Something still isn't quite right here. I'll stay behind and keep guard."

"Given what we've found, we have to keep an even closer eye on Zindel now."

"We have to be ready for attacks from anywhere!"

"You smell that?"

You cautiously sniff the air. Yup! Something definitely stinks! Anthorra shoots Noll a look.

"He's washed nary a pinky finger since diving into his research hole. How he hasn't yet noticed that miasma he's birthed is beyond me! It smells like a moldy lemon wearing a sauerkraut jacket boiled in bile!"

"Please! Have pity on my burning nose hairs and collect some soap ingredients for me! We have to put a stop to this!"

"Some Alternate Dimension Laurel Creeper and Lion Gall should do the trick."

"A member of the team came up with the recipe and I've been just dying to test it out!" She rubs her hands together eagerly.

"Good, good! Just set the stuff over there while I finish getting things ready." Anthorra motions for you to unpack the ingredients.

"This handmade soap is so good it'll have Noll practically cannonballing into a bathtub!"

"Ugh! I'm SO hungry! Oh! Sprite Messenger, there you are!"

"See that Manic Lion and Savage Lioness over there? Mouthwatering, aren't they? I can tell just from the sheen of their fur how super juicy their meat would be..." She chews her bottom lip as she prolongs her gaze.

"You want a taste too, right? Don't tell me you're not curious!"

"Go and bring us back some lion steaks!"

You agree to help despite not being all that hungry.

"Hurry! I'm so hungry that I could pass out at any moment!"

"Back already? Now that's fast food!"

Anthorra wastes little time tucking into the meat.

"Eh, frankly it tastes a little weird... Buuuut I'm not one to waste food!"

Is it really alright for her to keep eating it?

"Hmm... Somehow I thought it'd be tenderer."

"Sigh! I'm still hungry..." She gently pats her belly.

"An investigation runs on brain power and a brain needs food to function. All the more reason to take meals seriously, you know?"

"Hey, go borrow me some Bouncy Jelly Cookies!"

Borrow? More like steal!

"Frankly, I don't like jelly. It's the worst. But I'm willing to give those cookies another go!" Her logic confuses you.

You imagine she'd complain about the food even while licking the plate clean.

"Well, it's about time! Give 'em here!"

She swiftly unburdens you of the cookies and starts polishing them off.

"Hm... Yup, jelly is still the worst! And these are way, way too small! Barely a mouthful! I'm already hungry again!"

How can she possibly have room for more food? Perhaps her stomach is actually a black hole? A black hole capable of sucking in everything. Including you.

You shudder at the scientific implications of this crude hypothesis.

"Sprite Messenger! You wouldn't happen to be free right now, would you...?" Anthorra grins at you coyly. No. No, she couldn't possibly be!

Your suspicion is promptly confirmed.

"I'm feeling a bit peckish. Haha. Just a liiiittle!"

"Rumor has it that Carso's disciples get to eat these amazing boxed lunches. Do you think you could borrow a few for me...?"

There's that B-word again! You make a mental note to buy her a dictionary for her next birthday.

"Ugh! I'm SO sick of camp rations!" She flails her arms in dramatic fashion.

"I wonder what Carso eats every morning. Do radical cult leaders even eat breakfast?"

"I can't wait to get back to town where there's REAL food!"

She's already planning her next meal! Now you're certain her stomach is a black hole!

"So this is what Carso's fanatics eat, huh? Mmmm! It smells amazing!"

Anthorra digs right in, emptying one container after another with startling efficiency.

"Oh, you're still here? Did you want a bite?"

Even if you did (and you don't), you'd think better of asking. You tell her to eat to her heart's content.

"OK! None for you then! But don't say I never offered!" She happily resumes her assault.

"GUH! Why I oughta ...." The steam coming out of Anthorra's ears could power a locomotive!

"I was only passing through, minding my own business, when those nutjobs of Carso's pounced on me! Look at this. Just LOOK at this! A doughnut would offer more coverage!"

Hole-y mackerel! Sure enough, her clothes are a total wreck!

"Sprite Messenger, you must make them pay for their crimes! My clothes demand vengeance!"

"Did you teach those fruitcakes a lesson yet? They deserve to suffer!"

She's practically vibrating she's so angry!

"Thanks for giving them their just desserts! It's not called sweet justice for nothing! Hahaha!"

"Whew! I'm much better now, though I can't exactly say the same for my clothes..."

"Maybe Chara has a sewing kit I can borrow..." She sashays away, looking like the merriest lady ever dressed in tatters.

And tatters is putting it nicely.

She's going to need a lot more than a needle and thread.

"I cook up a mean bar of soap, if I do say so myself! Here, have a smell!" Anthorra holds the finished product up to your nose.

Indeed, it's soaper duper!

"Hurry and bring it to Noll, will you?"
