"You cannot simply show up and ask us to trust you, especially as we are in the midst of a major war!

"Nevertheless, I realize all too well the need for allies, so I might just allow you to join us,"

Pippen growls.

"I will alert my assistant Zoro to your presence. Complete your first task to my satisfaction and he will assign you others."

"You may find him rather difficult, but I consider him an excellent judge of character."

"For your first assignment, to demonstrate that you are indeed trustworthy and useful, you must kill some demons for us. If you are successful, you may then report to Zoro for your next task!"

"The first course of action is to suss out the enemy bases. We must do so without attracting too much attention,"

Pippen advises.

"Then I leave it to you. I know of no one better-equipped to carry out this important task."

Intermediate

"There are three bases we would like you to investigate."

"Soon Ironwheel Beach will be ours again."

"According to the intelligence you gathered at the bases, it appears the army is shifting its supplies away from the port."

"I believe this indicates that the enemy's defenses are weakening."

Pippen's extensive military experience is clearly evident. You agree with his assessment.

"Moreover, we have it on good authority that the person in charge of directing these enemy troops is none other than the Sprite King Carso."

"The Sprite King may be powerful, but if we unite and attack as one I believe we can defeat him!"

Acceptance

"We cannot afford to second-guess ourselves now!"

Pippen states with conviction.

"After careful consideration, I have concluded that we should focus an attack upon Carso's port. However, in order to secure a strategic advantage, we must first regain control of the Corroded Wasteland."

"Sprite Messenger, you must eliminate the monsters there to give us this chance."

Intermediate

"It is true that these monsters are not particularly strong. Still, their numbers alone are sure to prove challenging."

"Once they have been eliminated, we will be free and clear to attack Carso's port!"

"I am afraid we must amend our original plan,"

Pippen says, somewhat disappointed.

"Although we successfully recovered the Corroded Wasteland, our troops simply lack the strength to issue a decisive strike."

"Nevertheless, the reclamation has given all of us hope."

"In order to prevent Carso's army from regaining momentum, I need you to take full advantage of our claim over the Corroded Wasteland and attack his troops at the port,"

he says.

"This will lay the foundation for our full attack."

Intermediate

"Do not underestimate the forces patrolling the port. They may not be the monsters of the Corroded Wasteland, but they are still plenty dangerous."

Pippen looks slightly concerned.

"Eh? What's that you have there?"

Pippen takes the letter and reads it over carefully.

"This information comes as a welcome surprise. Outstanding work, Sprite Messenger!"

Pippen is delighted.

"This letter details Carso's plan to transfer supplies back to the port."

"His scouts have no doubt detected that we are readying an attack."

"If he manages to regroup and mobilize his forces, our plans will be useless."

"I need you to infiltrate the port and take possession of Carso's military supplies in order to give us the upper hand."

"Will you agree to it?"

Intermediate

"You will find the cache of supplies at Carso's Depot. You must find a way to sever their means of transport."

"Go now, Sprite Messenger! We are depending on you."

End

"Exceptional work! These supplies will give us the ultimate advantage when we launch our attack upon the port."

"No doubt Carso is wondering this very minute how his supplies mamaged to vanish into thin air!"

Pippen offers his sincere thanks.

"You have once more proven yourself a valuable asset to our cause."

"Our scouts have observed two unknown Sprites in the Desert of Resonance. They may be able to provide valuable assistance. Head over there now to investigate."

Pippen declares triumphantly.

"We are one step closer to reclaiming what is rightfully ours."

Acceptance

"I have heard troubling accounts of the enemy inexplicably vanishing only moments after reaching the Desert of Resonance with supplies. We may once more have control over the area, but the fight is far from over."

"We managed to capture a member of Carso's navy. Perhaps you could question him further for us? He is being held back there, just behind us."

"I will admit, something about him makes me uneasy..."

Pippen looks slightly hesitant.

Intermediate

"That sailor is a slippery one indeed. He still refuses to speak!"

"You are a clever Sprite Messenger. Maybe you will have more success with him?"

"Carso is cleverer than I thought! He is using Goblins to transport supplies via a series of underground tunnels."

"I cannot believe I failed to anticipate this!"

Pippen looks rueful.

"The passage originally led to Steam Mine Mountain, but it fell into disuse once Carso invaded."

"Curses! The tunnel entrance has collapsed. We will be unable to access Steam Mine Mountain this way,"

Pippen laments.

"Excavating the tunnel will not only take too long, but it will also leave our workers open to Goblin attacks..."

"I recall hearing once of a rather mysterious dimensional scientist located in the Desert of Resonance. She has been conducting research there for a long time now and may be able to help us."

"Speaking with her may be our only chance. Go there now, Sprite Messenger."

"Progress on the battlefront was good until recently, but now we've run into a snafu.

Since you're offering to help, I have an important mission for you. Proceed to Carso's Depot and take out their mechanized soldiers.

Please don't take any chances here. Those mecha troops are fearsome warriors,"

"Outside the outpost's limits, you'll find a number of Jelly Rabbits, Rusty Driller Bugs, and Rusty Excavating Crabs. They may appear innocuous, but I can assure you of their capacity to kill."

"We need you to eliminate as many of them as you can in order to minimize the risk they pose to those at the outpost."
