"Great Apes outside the outpost often attack it. We need help dealing with them, and it's going to take more than just bananas."

"%c%, can you help us beat the Great Apes outside the outpost?"

"Animals on the plateau seem to go crazier each day. We can't take it anymore." William took a deep breath.

"We do not know what irritated the Great Apes. Maybe it's because we switched their toilet paper to a less soft variety, but honestly, it was so much cheaper. We're not made of money and two-ply TP, for goodness sakes."

"We've worked so hard on daily defense, and now we also have to deal with the Great Apes. It's just overwhelming for us. They're smart; don't underestimate them."

"Thanks for your help." William shook your hand heartily.

"The Great Apes shouldn't cause us trouble anymore. Unfortunately, we have more problems than just those apes."

"Many primitive animals live on this plateau."

"Bad news, adventurer."

"Swift Dragons attacked the caravans that delivers supplies from Kaslow. They lost most of their food supplies."

"If we cannot get the food back, future operation of the outpost will suffer greatly."

"If you can kill the Swift Dragons and get those food boxes back, you'll really make Colonel Clark's day."

William read AnTarot's letter.

"Didn't AnTarot know this request put us in a difficult situation?" William looked uncomfortable.

"Who wanted to kill those animals for no reasons?"

"I know her past, but we need to be fair."

"I'm sure the people they've killed would agree that Great Apes can be pretty darn cruel. Or-their ghosts would agree. Well, you get the point."

"I need to make AnTarot see the truth."

"Brawny Kongs killed many Kaslow soldiers. Show AnTarot the bloody shoulder patches of the soldiers, and she will realize the Great Apes' true brutality."

"The Great Apes seem very important to AnTarot, but she has to see that they can be killers." William sighed.

"The apes out there seem are causing us no small amount of trouble.
If it weren't for them, our preparations would be going a lot more smoothly."

William frowns, seeming to forget you're there for a short while.

"Who are you? We're in no position to take in travelers right now.
Please tell me what you need, but don't expect too much."

"You defeated the apes out there and patrolled the area?
Thank you for your help, but our work still isn't finished."


It looks like William finally has time to listen to your request, but you probably shouldn't get your hopes up.

You give William a rough description of the strange things people have been seeing, as well as the rebirth of the giant Sprite.


"So that's what happened... I understand completely. However, we don't have time to investigate possible threats when we have one more tangible right before us.
The outpost on the frontline is facing an urgent crisis."

"I'm responsible for the safety of the soldiers and civilians here, so I can't send anyone to help you look.
If you want to know more..."


"Give me the ape fur and the swift dragon tooth! Goods for information.
That's the only concession I can give you right now!"

"You're wondering what purpose these goods serve? I can't tell you any details, but using local resources to reduce the need for supplies is an essential skill for a soldier in a foreign land."



William looks proudly at the soldiers around him.

"Speaking of which, recently a lot of soldiers have reported seeing a little girl out in the wilderness...
Ehh? That's enough. If you want to know more, show me the supplies!"

"Great! As we agreed, I'll give you some information! Recently the wild animals on the plateau have been much tamer, like you mentioned."


"In fact, there seems to be a lot of commotion coming from the Hill Giant camp in the east, but our scouts haven't been able to notice anything out of the ordinary yet."


"Also, many of our patrols have said they've seen a little girl roaming the plateau, and many of our men are head over heals about this new novel that a traveling merchant brought from the city.
It's called Miracle of... something.
But I don't think that's very important! Hah!"

"My best guess is that you should investigate the Hill Giant camp, don't you think?"


"If you're planning to go there to investigate, help me clear away
those troublesome Hill Giants! Perhaps then we'll have the manpower to help you
'investigate' those 'strange visions'."

William smiles at you like he's implying something.

"That's right! Discuss the results of your investigation with Waer! Since he agreed to help you, he should follow through to the end.
I'm going to take care of some things!
