L70. Investigate the Smog Thicket

The repulsive slime oozing from the broken portion of the branch begins to give off a peculiar purple smoke.

You attempt to wave it away with your arms, and it, indeed, moves, but not with the air currents. Instead, it appears to drift towards (188, 620).

Despite its unnatural hue, the smoke does not appear dangerous, and you make up your mind to see where it leads.

Even if nothing comes of it, you plan to tell Homi all about it afterward.

"Hey, there! Come to have a gander at my weapon collection?"

Homi greets you while spinning a knife precariously with his fingers. His free and easy attitude towards sharp objects never ceases to make you nervous.
