On the moonlit evening before the Battle of Ilya, Dean Edward had made some preparations.

"The Day of Destiny is coming... Hopefully I can yet do something for this world." Edward looked sadly into the moonlight.

"It's time to make preparations for the future." He made a decision.

He called three students to his office. They were Magic Messenger Lily, Monto, and future Elder Mystic Kuwa.

He carefully gave them the three crystal balls and notes and told them what to do.

"When I can no longer protect Ilya, please put the crystal balls at the places written on the notes." Edward says sadly.

The three students were puzzled, and so they simply took the crystal balls and promised to do as he asked.

The three students didn't know that the crystal balls would one day guide a Sprite Messenger on the path to save the world.
