Magic Messenger Wulu

The Magic Messenger standing before you is small in stature, possesses a powerful aura.

"In the name of the Miracle Child, I will become the strongest Magic Messenger in the world," she says in a steady voice, gripping her wand tightly. "Then, maybe, I can cure grandfather Adam Nice..."

You introduce yourself to Wulu.

"Grandfather already sent a message by bird to explain the situation." Wulu bites her lower lip.

"Optima is a mysterious and sacred place for those who believe in the Miracle Child. I'm shaking all over just thinking about the possibility of entering Optima!"

"All sorts of strange things have been happening around the continent, I'm stuck here at this most critical moment - it's so frustrating!"

"I was on my way to Optima when I was overcome by monsters. If we don't forge a path through them, they'll wear us out and we'll die here!"

"We should split up. Head north and defeat the Mystic Reaper and Hexed Stone Golem, then meet me back here."

"It's only recently that this place started to be called the Magic Forest."

"This used to be a quiet and peaceful place, but one day a huge cloud of purple fog rolled in and blanketed the entire area."

"Since then, the creatures here have become extremely violent, and their numbers have greatly increased. Travelers started to steer clear of this place, and before long people started calling it the Magic Forest."

After destroying most of the monsters, you head back to the meeting place, but see Wulu rubbing her leg in pain.

"Damn Reapers, ganging up on me..." Wulu's face is pale.

A sudden panic grips you when you see the severity of Wulu's condition.

"I'm sorry, I was off my guard." You help Wulu dress the wound but she remains unable to walk.

You ask Wulu what else you can do to help.

She ponders a bit and says: "There's a physician in our village named Claudie who collects herbs outside the forest."

"I think she'd be able to fix me up in a jiffy."

You decide to go find this Claudie to see if she can help Wulu.

"Ugh, I'll admit Claudie's a potion master, but this medicine really tastes..." Wulu shudders, seeming to have remembered something from the past.

"I won't drink any of Claudie's specially-made cold medicine, even if you point a staff at my head." She clutches her wand tightly, glaring in all directions.

You take out the potion Claudie brewed and hand it to Wulu.

"Oh! It's actually a normal color this time! I didn't expect Claudie to care about the taste. Not bad!" Wulu says, opening the bottle and downing the potion.

After a moment of silence, Wulu suddenly jumps up.

"H-h-hot! Why is it so... spicy! Claudie!"

Wulu continues jumping up and down, and you realize she's been cured.

"May the Miracle Child protect me. I think I'm better now." Wulu wipes the tears from her eyes and rubs her leg.

"Claudie isn't a fighter. It's dangerous to leave her there alone. I'll stay here and clear away some of the monsters. You should go find her."

You look at Wulu's injured leg, hoping she can handle herself alone.

"Don't worry about me, it just tingles a bit now. It'll be better after I move around a bit." Wulu waves the wand in her hand. "I'll take care of these despicable Reapers!"

"Although I often travel between Optima and the village, the Magic Forest is one place I try to avoid whenever I can."

"Monsters here are particularly vicious, and there are more of them, too."

"Well... this mission is urgent - I suppose I'll just have to go through it."

(You've finally found Wulu, and she looks all right. You feel relieved.)

"I've been prone to monster attacks since I was a child." In contrast to your panic, Wulu looks cool as a cucumber.

"Dean Edward said that it's because my magic is too strong. The power attracts greedy monsters."

"See, a big group of them are right over there... and they're coming this way."
