Outpost Messenger Duluke

"Finally, a human - I've been chased by Beastmen and undead creatures for so long!" Duluke is covered in sweat and looks nervous.

"A few days ago, I was observing undead monsters outside a dungeon and was ambushed by a human-shaped shadow. I injuried my right leg."

"I ran like mad and finally made it here. I managed to hide but was too tired to move again."

"Captain Candice sent you to find me? That's wonderful! I knew the captain would send someone to rescue me."

(You see a faint smile appear on Duluke's tense face)

"Forget rescuing me for a second. I think I found a big secret. But I can't move much with my leg like this, so the rest of the intelligence gathering is up to you!"

"%n%, in the several messenger missions I've undertaken, I found that the undead creatures all have a glass-shaped object on them, and the weaker monsters seem to have less glass," Duluke analyzes coolly.

"The glass must have some sort of power to increase the strength of undead creatures and give them the ability to resurrect. I need you to defeat the Undead Flame Beasts and gather their glass in order to prove my theory."

"I've left the outpost for many days, and Candice must be worried. I have to finish collecting information before I can return!"

"%n%, the glass crystals on Undead Flame Beasts are abnormally large. This is very bizarre." Duluke manages to pull himself together to explain.

"Excellent work! Let me take a look at these glass crystals." Duluke grabs the crystals and his eyes glaze over, his movements suddenly becoming sluggish.

(You see Duluke's strange behaviour and quickly snatch the glass crystals from his hands)

"Huh? What happened to me? When I touched the glass, my mind was as if it was sucked into darkness and my body wouldn't move at all..."

"%n%, it seems these glass crystals have a lot of secrets. We need more crystals to prove my theory..."

"They have a good amount of glass crystals for an undead monster. Hunt down some Immortal Shadow Wolves and see if they have glass crystals as well." Duluke gazes worriedly in the direction of the outpost when he finishes speaking.

"I hear you can use their own weapons to completely kill undead monsters." Duluke touches his injured right leg.

"If you're up against crabs, use their pincers. Up against wolves, use their claws. But no one so far has been able to kill those undead monsters entirely."

"Cough cough... did you bring back glass crystals from the Immortal Shadow Wolves?"

"Excellent! I can see my theory was correct from the glass crystals taken from the Shadow Wolves. The source of their immortality lies in the glass crystals. But these crystals can't have come from nowhere. Is it the work of the Beastman Army?"

"No matter right now - this is a big step toward turning the tide of the war. I'd love to bring this information back to the commander, but..." Duluke tries extending his right leg and winces in pain.

"I've never seen a soldier able to destroy that many undead creatures by himself. You must be the legendary Sprite Messenger." Duluke says, embarrassed.

"Sprite Messenger %n%, please defeat the Rock Cyclops in front of the resistance army citadel and collect their glass crystals. And please take this message and hand it to Royal Colonel Alba inside the citadel."

"Don't worry about me. My leg will be better in no time!"

"The Undead Flame Beast, Immortal Shadow Wolves and Rock Cyclops are wandering about the road leading to the citadel. If we don't defeat them, not only can we not proceed, but we run the chance of being attacked."

"Although they won't die completely, it will give us a little time if they are defeated. Help us defeat these terrible undead monsters."

"I don't know how we can kill these undead monsters completely."

"I flattened an Undead Flame Beast into the ground once. But not long afterwards it blew back up like a balloon, scaring the heck out of me." Duluke describes the scene vividly.

"Thank you for your efforts to recover Ilya. We can enjoy a short period of peace now."

"Stupid undead monsters, why don't they just stay dead?" Duluke complains while applying new medicine on the wound on his right leg.
