"Everyone will know how talented I am." Foster the Thirteenth raised his bottle in a makeshift pledge.

"If I want to learn magic, I need a decent staff." He took a big swig from his bottle.

"Listen, I gotta drain the lizard, but if I remember correctly, there's a staff called the Dimension Gate. If you can bring it to me, I'll give you the old staff that's been in my family for generations. What do you think?"

"That staff is too old and no longer matches the noble blood of my grandmaster descent," slurred Foster.

"Cheers!" Foster the Thirteenth grinned upon receiving his new staff. He toasted the air and took a big gulp of wine. Half of it missed his mouth and ran down his chin. He giggled, not bothering to wipe it away.

You wrapped your hand around the old, worn staff and could feel the power pulsing through it. You couldn't help but wonder what Foster's ancestors would have thought about him trading a family heirloom away.
