Gates peered at you excitedly. "Are you a fellow soldier in the Kaslow army?"

"Great! Welcome to the army. I'm a new sentinel just like you."

Gates shook your hand. "You're a%c%? Wonderful. We'll work together later!"

"You just got here? Walk around and get to know Kaslow's facilities and environment. If you have questions, ask the captain of the guards, Archier."

"You must be really excited."

Gates wiped sweat from his brow. "Just give me one second. Let me finish this training item."

"Chief Owen gave me an outdoor material hunting task, but the list of items to collect proved too long for me alone... I'll need your help."

"We need Buck Antlers and Cloned Beast Hooves."

"Go to the center of the plain to find Grassland Bucks. Cloned Beasts dwell around the lakeside cabins. Come back after you collect them."

"Enjoy your hunt!"

Gates stretched a bit. "So, is being a soldier harder than you'd imagined?"

"You must work hard and possess immense focus and determination to succeed. If we work together, we'll accomplish our goals in no time."

"If we can do all that, Lieutenant Jessica will definitely notice me!"

"Thanks! I'm glad you helped with the work, or the captain would've scolded me.

"We must store these so we can be ready at a moment's notice."

"You did well! Yes, the Kaslow Plains is vast! I almost got lost myself once!"

"In addition to our duties, we must complete some basic work, including patrolling."

"You'll find two sentry posts east and west of Kaslow. The duke's residence is on the northeast."

"Go to each sentry post and talk to the defense soldier. When you've ascertained that all is well, come back here."

"This used to be my job. I had to go on patrol all the time, even to remote areas."

"The grasslands vibrate with chaos nowadays. Goblins cause trouble, wolves attack in the mountains, and giant spiders weave enormous webs in the northern caves."

"We constantly face dangerous situations!"

"On my last patrol, I heard that wolves attacked travelers near the duke's residence."

Gates patted your back. "You ran a long way."

"We've finished the patrol, but did the defense soldiers really call Kaslow Plains safe? That can't be right."

Gates looked incredulous. "Didn't they hear about the wolves attacking travelers?"

"As a soldier of Kaslow, we sometimes have to attack the enemy on our own without orders."

"I trust in your fighting abilities!"

"I've heard Hungry Coyote attacked travelers near the duke's residence."

"Exterminate them, and then report to Commander Cheska."

"I've been a intern knight for a while, but I have yet to pass the qualifying test for knighthood."

"A senior member at the Knight School said there's a publication called the Standard of the Magnificent Knight. It contains all the information on what's fashionable for modern knights."

"I've never paid attention to trends, but I feel that perhaps my polyester gear and plaid gauntlets may be holding me back from knighthood."

"I'd love to take a peek at that publication!"

"Let me take a look," Gates said, grabbing the publication and immediately poring over it.

"Hmm." Gates's face fell.

"I guess it's all about the wardrobe. Are my shoulder pads really that out of style?"

"My mother prepared a whole outfit for me when I entered Knight School. It's more stylish than my current threads."

"I wanted to wear it after I became a qualified knight, but the boots don't fit anymore. Too much mutton, I guess; the fat goes straight to your feet."

"I'm ashamed to ask my family for another pair. Can you help?"

"How about a pair of Fortress Knight Boots? I'll even trade you the pair that I have."

"An intern knight does menial jobs, like marching and patrolling. It's impossible not to develop thick, stumpy legs."

"If I don't hurry up and become a qualified knight soon, my mother's wardrobe won't fit me at all! Wait, that came out wrong. I mean, the wardrobe my mother made for me won't fit!"

"My mom made me these leg guards. They're excellent quality, but they don't fit my beefy legs anymore."

"They shouldn't go to waste, though; perhaps you can get some use out of them."
