(Shayne is startled out of his reverie by your arrival.)

"Woah! Where'd you come from? You're a Sprite Messenger, aren't you? Sorry for not noticing you before. I suppose I've been a little distracted lately..."

"What's wrong, you ask? Well, it's like this... Some time ago, I accompanied my master, Jhimba, to a Territory Battle. It was there that I met Miss Lucy, one of the Domain Scouts. From the moment our eyes met, I just knew she was someone special!"

"Now, whenever I think of her my palms get sweaty and my heart feels as if it'll leap right out of my chest!"

"Yes! I suppose this is what people call love! And to think I fell for her at first sight!"

(You watch with amusement as a blush spreads to his ears.)

"But there's a problem... No sooner had I finished pouring my heart out to Miss Lucy in a letter than my master confiscated it!"

"He was downright furious and told me off for being so distracted from my training. He even threatened to stop bringing me with him to Master-Apprentice Challenges! As painful as it is to have my master angry with me, it's even worse to think that Miss Lucy will never know my feelings!"

"I'm absolutely miserable! Sprite Messenger, please help persuade my master to give back my letter! You can find my master, Jhimba, in Ilya (407, 092). Please! My entire heart is in that letter!"

(You can practically feel the desperation in his eyes.)

"Please tell me you have it!"

(Shayne anxiously shifts about while wringing his hands.)

"My master refuses to listen to my pleas! My romantic destiny lies in your hands, Sprite Messenger!"

"I can't thank you enough, Sprite Messenger!"

"Hurray! With this I can finally confess my love!"

"My dear, sweet Miss Lucy! I haven't stopped thinking of you for even a moment!"

(Shayne looks so happy that you half expect him to burst into song.)

"Sprite Messenger, you've come at just the right time! Have you by chance already taken the Master-Apprentice Challenge today?"

"I'm incredibly grateful to you for getting my love letter back, but... Well, I just can't find the courage to give it to Miss Lucy with my master present. What if I'm rejected? I'd never again be able lift my head in his presence!"

(Shayne begins to fidget.)

"So, if you happen to find yourself at a 'Territory Battle,' do you think you could deliver the letter to Miss Lucy for me?"

"I'll accept whatever answer she gives, even if it's a Nice Guy Card! The simple knowledge that she understands my feelings is already more than enough for me.

(Swallowing the urge to tell him to just suck it up, you agree to deliver the love letter.)

(His eyes fill with tears as they gaze into the distance.)
