"I should have known something fishy was going on."

"Not only are the sword is battered, but the Broken Pieces are gone, and those abominations even stole the jade!"

"I just don't know what to do. In the state I'm in, I've no chance at getting those items back," grumbled Engi.

"And who are you?"

He stared at you coldly, so you quickly explained yourself.

"Well, I'm Engi. What does my brother want?"

You described the situation to him.

"Those monsters have nothing to do with the ones from a decade ago," said Engi.

"We'll have to kill the leader to get to the heart of the issue. I believe he dwells in the depths of the Bamboo Heart Pavilion."

"Before you face him, you'll need two items."

"You must get the Qibanqu Jade and Broken Pieces of Tianqi Sword stolen by the Sakura Wisewood and Nether Blood Princess."

"You can find the Sakura Wisewood around the Triangle Temple and the Nether Blood Princess in the Bamboo Heart Pavilion."

"The Qibanqu Jade was originally a rare treasure kept inside the temple, and the Heavenly Sword was carried by Master Sakurai when he was alive."

"These two treasures can ward off the demons. However, the Qibanqu Jade was stolen, and the Heavenly Sword was destroyed after falling into the wrong hands."

"The Broken Pieces must be retrieved and forged together. When the Heavenly Sword is rebuilt, it will once again carry an incredibly strong, holy power."

"Though the Sword broke into pieces, the Qibanqu Jade remains intact." Engi breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you for your help. I'm embarrassed to admit that my power's been greatly weakened; I could never have retrieved these items on my own."

"Now that we have the Qibanqu Jade and the Shards, we can rebuild the Heavenly Sword. That demon should be counting the hours until its demise."

"The Heavenly Sword is back in action! Now we just need a brave warrior to wield it."

"Brave one, I believe that warrior is you. Please destroy the demon leader hidden in the Bamboo Heart Pavilion."

"I think you are the only one capable of eliminating this huge threat," Engi said in a hushed, respectful tone.

"I should've been more careful."

"I didn't think it would make much difference, but look where it's gotten me."

"I should've taken care of it," Engi muttered, his head low.

I'm devoted my life to martial arts. Few can match my skills, and I'd say I'm pretty difficult to impress... but I must say, I'm impressed by you and what you've done for us, Master. Thank you, Engi said, bowing deeply.

"Since you slayed the demon, I must admit the truth. The demon was an incarnation of my own terrible thoughts."

"I thought I could kill it myself, but my arrogance was my weakness, and it nearly killed me. Thank goodness you arrived to slay it once and for all."

"I need to work on my martial arts... and my modesty," Engi said with a bitter smile.

"Please inform my brother Enki that I will stay here to protect the treasures and continue my training."
