Outpost Team Leader Ronald

"Thank goodness! You've come from the Old Bern City to help us at last!"

"Due to landslides in the mountain area to the north, we cannot reach Elsaland. We don't have enough help."

"Places closer to the boundary always seem to get ignored."

"Your arrival will certainly lift our spirits." Ronald smiled wearily.

"Come. We still have many problems to solve."

"A group of vicious Werewolves lives in the marsh nest to the southwest of the outpost."

"Werewolves get their jollies killing people. They're a brutal, heartless species."

"We sent people to survey in the marsh nest, but they never returned."

"%c%, please help find the scouts. While you're at it, deal with the Werewolves in the marsh nest."

The scouts should have returned with a report three days ago. Why haven't they come back yet? Ronald paced, his forehead deeply wrinkled with worry.

"Are the scouts dead?" asked Ronald, tears welling in his eyes.

"We cannot continue sacrificing our brothers to these bloodthirsty creatures."

"We must deal with them, and we must deal with them NOW." Ronald punched his open hand with his fist to emphasize his point.

"Near the Gas Vents is a group of Diseased Wisewood. They carry young bugs inside their bodies. Those young bugs release noxious fumes that can repel animals. We can even use it as a poison."

"You'll have to defeat the Diseased Wisewood near the Gas Vents and gather up the young bugs that live inside them."

"Be careful when you touch them; the smell will rub off on your fingers, and once it's on there, it's impossible to get it off! You'll have to scrub for hours!"

"You can smell the stench from about six feet away." Ronald wrinkled his nose.

"I want to make stink bombs."

I can imagine bugs crawling out of the withered tree, it's really disgusting, but your efforts come at a cost."

Ronald looked at a pile of worms.

"Ugh..." Ronald covered his mouth and nose.

"Go ahead and pour this box of smelly bugs on the pile of skeletons in the marsh. I simply can't do it because... um, because I'm allergic! That's right, I'm allergic to werewolves. Also to gross smelly bugs and scary piles of bones."

"The smell should spread throughout the vents and drive out the wolf leader, Brydi. That'll be your chance to kill him!"

"I'd love to see the look on wolf leader Brydi's face when that stench hits his nose. It's going to be hilarious! He's going to be so mad!" Ronald let out a belly laugh.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to joke about the situation." Ronald fixed a serious look on his face, but then burst out laughing again. "Sorry, it's just that he's going to be so angry! I wish we could get it on tape... we'd get a million hits on youtube. Can you imagine-'Angry Werewolf Smells Bug Farts.'"

"Victory! You killed the werewolf leader! Even though you smell like the bug fart festival, which usually doesn't take place until May, I'm pleased to shake your hand." Ronald extended his hand, then withdrew it before you could shake it.

"You know, on second thought, maybe you should wash up first."

"We're anxious to know what happened back home and I've sent as many men to investigate as I can."

"But the reports indicate the outpost advance force came under serious attack after passing the mountain path."

"Please go to the Knight Training Camp at Knight Valley in the north and Ashley the captain of advance force will need your help."

"I still can't believe the news about the fall of Elsaland. What a nightmare."

"So Knight Roland is the new lord? I'm sure he's up to the challenge."

"Please convey my support to the new lord. I hope he'll lead us back to the fortress someday."

"These Werewolves pose an increasing threat to us. How are they reproducing so quickly?"

"Now that the Werewolves are constantly attacking the outposts, we must come up with a countermeasure!"

"The announcement was in your hands all along; I was wondering where the wind had blown it to."

"Since you brought the announcement, you must be confident in fulfilling our request."

"I heard there is a weapon designed by an Eastern nation called the shuriken. The noise it produces has an intimidating effect on enemies, called the Shadow Shuriken."

"If you bring it to me, I will reward you handsomely!"

"With this, the outpost might be spared from the harassment of those arrogant Werewolves!"

"This is a shuriken? How do you use it? I thought it would be... Looks like I need to recruit a guard who knows how to use a shuriken..."
