I made the decision one day to leave my homeland, no longer willing to tolerate the taunts.

With nowhere to go, I walked and walked until I could scarcely feel my legs.

I was finally forced to stop and rest, but found myself a moment later utterly surrounded by a large pack of spiders.

Weak from hunger and consumed with loneliness, I resigned myself to a terrible fate.

Then Lulu appeared.

With a gentle wave of her staff she conjured a mighty gale that swept the spiders up and carried them far into the distance.

She extended her hand to me and as I took it, all of my fear and loneliness melted away.

We made no pact, laid out no plans.

We simply left that place, together,

and my world changed.
