"She is my only child, and she had the best of everything growing up. I naturally want her to marry an upstanding young man, someone who can give her a comfortable, loving life."

"So I was just being paranoid? He really is an upstanding young man?"

"I must be honest with you. I sent away my daughter, and she has refused to eat. She becomes weaker by the day." He sighed. "I should never have tried to make her decisions for her. I must bring her back... and I have to talk to Soerdo, man to man."
