"I am back, Master! I found this prehistoric treasure chest while foraging in the deep mountains. I wonder what it is?"

That day, Whitefire rolled happily over to me while carrying this huge chest. I don't often see him so excited.

The chest's weighed quite a lot for a treasure chest. What could be inside? After some hesitation and checking to see if there was a label marked "ARK", I opened the chest.

"What? Just a lousy old and worn metal bowl?" I nearly blew up right there.

I was going to teach Whitefire a lesson when I saw something carved on to the old bowl...

"Bowl... of... Ple...nty? Bowl of Plenty?"

"You coming over for dinner, Yue?" Keiko waves at me from over the fence with her dog, Snowy, in her arms.

Oh no, I can't let anyone know that I have this legendary treasure so I dropped the bowl down the nearby well.

"Oh sure, Keiko, I will go over tonight."

Over dinner, I thought that Keiko is a really great cook!

"Oh no!" The village chief's younger brother Engi rushed into the house in a rare panic as I enjoyed the meal. Sharp noises could be heard through the windows.

I frowned. Isn't that call of the River Boy? But... There seems to be...

A lot of them? Are there that many River Boys on the island?

When I rushed out of the door, I almost couldn't believe my eyes! There were River Boys running around, shrieking everywhere!

After the invading River Boys were driven off, I wondered why the island's protective wards seemed to have weakened.

Before I could think about the problem further, I saw a River Boy climb out of the well.

Is there no end to them?

To my surprise, I realized that this was the well that I had hid the treasure in that afternoon. Did the River Boys come for the treasure?

Can the monsters sense the power coming from the treasure? All of these possibilities flashed through my head.

No, it might just be an coincidence. It might be island's failing wards that are allowing the monsters to run amok, and not the treasure attracting the monsters...

I've been poor for a long time. This was my treasure. I won't let a little problem like this stand in my way.
