After studying the two types of samples, I discovered that the remains from the two different locations had similar energies.

Regarding this energy, after much research, I discovered by accident that a necromancer named Aransul Kench had studied the same topic before.

In his writings, Aransul concluded that the energy allowed some of the more powerful negative human emotions such as hatred, grief and jealousy to stay behind in the remains after death. This changed the corpses and drives their actions.

This theory is valuable to my research. I must use more powerful samples to test it.

I took a sample from the abnormally strong skeletons in the Plague Forest. I might be able to extract a more concrete energy composite from them.

You began to feel like a puppet, collecting everything as the book instructed, but you continued to do so. Though the skeletons in the Plague Forest were more dangerous than anything you'd encountered, you went to the forest.

The experiment went well. I was able to refine a kind of black energy compound from these skeletons as I expected.

This was the essence of negative emotions. It made me uncomfortable just looking at it.

I decided to call this compound the "Will Crystal" for convenience.
