"This necklace... where did you get it?" Tears shone in Maria's eyes; she recognized the necklace instantly.

Maria opened the necklace's locket and gazed at the photo of her happy family nestled inside: herself, Arnold, and Carol. You explained what had happened.

Maria began to sob softly.
