"This mine was built through the efforts of the mining Sprites. Everyone is itching to explore the mine. If you have a Mining Map, the mining Sprites will go underground and look for treasure right away."

"Higher grades of Mining Maps will increase the danger of the exploration, and the treasures will also change. The Sprites are always more than willing to undertake the adventure," the Altar Sprite said confidently.

"How on earth did that happen? I have no idea who could have taken a bite." Abuzi quickly wiped a fleck of cream from the corner of his mouth.

The Mine Altar Sprite looked at you, panic in his eyes.

"Bad news! A new miner accidentally smashed the mining lamp again. The tunnels are much too dark and dangerous."

"We must ask other mines for a loan, but if we show up uninvited, begging for supplies, they'll never help us. I wanted to ask Master Laurent for assistance, but he is busy right now."

"Fortunately for us, Master Laurent often takes his student Yuki on trips to the Steam Mine Mountain. The people there have likely heard of him."

"Master, please take Yuki to Steam Mine Mountain to borrow a light and battery from Bru and Saermon!"

*Go to Steam Mine Mountain to find <Mechanical Worker> Saermon (249, 535) and <Engineer> Bru (511, 618).

*The quest can only be completed by bringing Yuki back safely. If Yuki dies, abandon the quest, then retake it and try again.

"All kinds of strange things can happen down in those mines in the pitch black." The Altar Sprite shuddered.

"Having light allows us to avoid danger and makes it a thousand times easier to find treasure. Searchlights are of vital importance!"

"When will the new mining Sprites learn to be more careful with their tools?" he muttered.

"You returned at last, Master! Good work, Yuki!" The Altar Sprite grinned.

"The horse carriage from Steam Mine Mountain just came by. The lamp and batteries are here! The mining Sprites can finally concentrate on their work. There's no time to lose; use the Searchlight to show the mining Sprites the way!"

"I'm heading home. Let me know if you need anything else," Yuki said meekly. Being chased by monsters likely exhausted the poor kid.

"Even we Sprites don't know what we will encounter in the mine. If we're lucky, we might find a treasure chest buried underground. If not, we might step into a trap."

"Sometimes, you must make a quick decision: keep searching for further riches, or quit while you're ahead and call the mining Sprite back? If the Sprite falls into a trap, all progress is lost. Missing a chance to mine high quality ore can be a real shame, too." The Sprite wiped his nose with his sleeve.

"Mining is a tough job. Energy drinks or cream puffs can all boost the morale of the mining Sprites. Please give them a pep talk so they know you appreciate their hard work," the Altar Sprite suggested, brushing a thick layer of dust from his clothing.

You looked into the pitch black tunnel and felt a discomforting sense of rot coming from within.

"I should go buy some cream puffs to thank the mining Sprites for their hard work," you said to yourself.
