October 10 - Overcast

I spent all day walking. The salty sea air made me suddenly ravenous.

I saw some crabs on the beach when I came ashore, but their huge pinchers gave me pause. But hey, you only live once, right? Charge!

In autumn, the crabs were at their juiciest. Just the thought of it made your stomach rumble.

You wondered how the author of the diary planned to fight the vicious (and delicious) crabs with no weapons.

October 10 - Evening

...I don't remember how I managed to defeat those pincered demons.

When I regained my senses, the translucent crab meat was sitting in a pile, ready to be devoured with greasy fingers.

Did I really smash that pile of cracked crab shells next to it!?

I suppose I must've been starved silly!

(You held the diary in one hand, chomping on buttery crabs' legs with the other. You can't believe the writer of the diary smashed crab shells with his bare hands.)

("Never fight a hungry person," you thought to yourself.)
