After Novak's ship sailed out to the ocean, Psiren waited for him to come back every day at the southwest coast of the Oblivion Border.

She refused proposals from other men and ignored the rude family members who told her to give up hope.

The fierce sea monsters near the southwest coast did not attack Psiren. Perhaps they were charmed by her beauty, or perhaps they were impressed by her determination.

Psiren waited at the shore day after day, finishing book after book of Sudoku puzzles. She moved on the crosswords.

People gradually forgot about Psiren or dismissed her as mad.

The sea monsters, though, gathered around her and protected her. They grew closer and closer to her, and with time, they began to emulate her. When Psiren cried, they shed tears, too. When she screamed, their voices echoed together over the ocean

The ugly sea monsters gradually grew to look more like Psiren.

Psiren's appearance began to change, too.

Ugly sea monsters no longer dwell in the southwest shore of the Oblivion Border. The sea monsters there are all strangely beautiful, yet dangerous.

The most beautiful sea monster is known as Psiren. Unfortunately, she no longer has opposable thumbs, so she had to give up her crossword puzzles and Sudoko.

Novak may never return, but Psiren decided to wait for him forever.
