In the Village of Springs: Chapter One

After a serious injury, I retired from the army and came to Steam Crevice west of the White Spring Village to settle down. I often hunted the Tidal Worms in Steam Crevice.

Though Tidal Worms look goopy and disgusting, their meat has a delicious tang. You simply must try it; it's especially good pureed with a generous dollop of goat fat for texture!

As I continued to eat the Tidal Worms, I began to notice that they had a curative effect.

Intermediaire :

I decided to live at the Steam Crevice because a magician told me the steam does wonders for your joints.

Why else would I live in Steam Crevice? It's boring and muggy.

Unfortunately, I found out that the steam here has no healing effects on humans. Rather, the it seems to revitalize the demons here. They're full of energy.

(The author had not yet mentioned the curative effects of the Tidal Worm meat, so you flipped to the last page impatiently.)

Item : Book: In the Village of Springs

The steam is useless to humans, but it might as well be the Fountain of Youth for demons.

As for me, though, as I began eating Tidal Worm meat regularly, my wounds began to slowly heal.

(You killed a lot of Tidal Worms, but because the book did not mention how to cook the meat, you were reluctant to try it and dubious of its positive effects.)
