Granton Militia Lana Hanks

"Did the town magistrate send you with the water? Thank you so much!" Lana Hanks thanks you with a hearty smile on her face. "Did you remember to give my brother Andy his water? He always makes me worry."

"Did you know? I heard the waters of Nolan Lake originated from the Spring of Life in the north. I wonder if it's true. I imagined there might have been someone saying "Come, holy water!" to Nolan Lake, and the holy water came out on its own... haha! Don't you think that's funny?" Lana Hanks asks you with a big smile.

You twitch your mouth in a crooked smile in response.

"Funny, right? But whenever I tell Andy a joke, he never changes expression and it makes me feel like an idiot! That boy!" Lana Hanks says, a bit unhappy.

"What...what should I do? The monster went into the house. The wife of the town magistrate wants me to handle things, but what should I do?" Lana Hanks is looking inside the house while pacing back and forth at the entrance.

Phew...we did it! This resident was saved because of your help. I wouldn't have known what to do and would have kept on waiting outside the house. Lana Hanks lets out a relieved sigh.

You ask Lana Hanks about the Spring of Life

"You want to know about the Spring of Life? That's funny. How come everyone wants to know about the spring these days?" Lana Hanks tilts her head in puzzlement.

"A couple of days ago two visitors came asking if this was Granton. Then they said they were looking for Nolan Lake, and that it could be where the Spring of Life converges. I told them how to get to the lake and they left early the next day, but they still haven't come back..." Lana Hanks seems worried.


"I'm worried that they might have taken the wrong route and were attacked by snails. Can you go and take a look at the snail area near Nolan Lake?" Lana Hanks implores you anxiously.

I wonder if those two are all right? Lana Hanks says, worried.

You explain to Lana the situation the two visitors are in.

"Thank goodness they're all right! But..." Her expression turns sad.

"I don't think they know that the villagers of Squamatalle have almost all been infected. I can't imagine how they would feel when they return to the village. If it was me, I'd fall apart completely! It's such a sad affair..." Lana Hanks wipes away her tears while holding the beautiful deer skin in her hands.

The infection in the town is growing worse. I just hope Andy and I can do something to help... Lana says quietly.

Huh? Look at you, all serious. Is there something important you need to say? Lana asks you with her usual smile.

"Whatever it is, you can tell me! I'll do anything to help!" Lana smiles.

You tell Lana the truth, including the fact that all the residents of the town, including Lana, are monsters, and that the Spring of Life has been hiding their true identities.

"You're joking, right? Tell me you're joking!" Lana forces a smile and looks at you expectantly.

You insist that you're telling the truth.

"You're lying! This can't be true!" Lana covers her ears, unwilling to listen.

"So Andy and I are monsters? All of us are monsters? Why would you tell me something so horrible?" Lana stares at you with crazed, angry eyes.

"I don't believe you! You're here to destroy our town! Go away, you're not welcome here!" Lana screams at you in a frenzy.

"Whatever it is, you can tell me! I'll do anything to help!" Lana smiles.

You decide to hide the truth. You tell Lana that there may be a cure for the town's infection, and that you will do your best to find it.

"Great! You really are a kind person." Lana clasps your hands tightly.

"Thank you for trying to find a cure-you must be an angel sent from heaven! I hope you return safely. Granton will always welcome you." Lana speaks gratefully, tears brimming in her eyes.
