"Did Jody send you?"

"These are Abu's belongings. I was passing by that day when I heard screaming," Shannon explained sadly.

"I got there too late and only managed to save Caret."

"Please take Abu's belongings to Caret. I hope he can cope with the pain."

"I am the messenger from Resistance headquarters. I was heading directly to the camp, but the way is blocked by vicious monsters. I've got to prepare myself if I hope to get through alive," Shannon commented coldly.

"Why don't you make yourself useful and get rid of the Wicked Wisewood Soldiers and Illusion Wisewood Archmages blocking the road?"

"I'm also going to need you to take a message from Praetorian Guard Leader Jarl to Lt. Jessica at the safe camp."

"Let her know that she must continue to patrol the area and wait for further orders. Make sure to deliver the message in person."

"Jarl, the Royal Praetorian Guard Leader, is suspected of treason? This is a very serious accusation. I sincerely hope you have evidence."

"It's much easier to believe that you're the spy!" Shannon stated huffily.

You cautiously handed the secret letter to Shannon. Shee scanned it, her expression changing before hardening once more.

"If this letter is genuine, we have a major problem on our hands."

"After reading the secret letter you found, I have no choice but to consider the worst case scenario. Very well. I will show you the way to Resistance headquarters!"

"To get to the headquarters, you must head northeast and use the temporary passage through a dense forest," Shannon intoned, pointing to a winding path.

"Right now, the entrance is blocked by Apes that fled the Highlands. Their leader is a particularly nasty creature."

"To keep communications open between headquarters and this area, please help me get rid of those troublesome pests. When you finish, report to Frantik, the commander of the outpost on the Kaslow Wilderness side."

"I need your help with something," Shannon stated.

"You must obtain a Venom Sac from a Man-Eating King Nymph. Don't ask questions, and don't tell anyone. You'll be paid for your efforts, but remember to keep your mouth shut."

"Did you bring the stuff?" Shannon glanced around nervously.

"If this mission is too difficult, you can quit. I didn't expect much from you, anyway."

"Not bad! You're pretty quick!"

"Here's your reward. I will let you know if I need anything else."

"Remember, don't tell anyone about this mission!" hissed Shannon, narrowing his eyes.

"I was brutally stabbed by a rare thorned Poisonous Vine. I can't even believe I'm still alive," muttered Shannon, rolling up his sleeve to reveal a black, festering wound.

"I need you to defeat these terrible Poisonous Vines. Collect the vines so I can study them, and maybe I'll find an antidote. You'll be compensated, of course."

"This rare vine is indeed worth studying."

"It should be carefully analyzed, as it's bound to help with future battles," Shannon commented.

"You move fast. I have to say, I'm impressed."

"Hopefully, I can decipher the deadly secret of the Poisonous Vines."

"A group of Wisewood soldiers suddenly emerged from the forest."

"The most vicious one is Angry Wisewood Centurion Blackweed. He and the Wisewoods under his command take pleasure in harming innocent passersby for sport."

"I need you to deal with Blackweed. You must first kill all of the other Wisewood soldiers flanking him, or you don't stand a chance."

Did you accomplish your mission? Shannon asked sternly.

"Very good! None of the Wisewoods got away, and you defeated Blackweed."

"I will now continue to monitor the forest. Stay in contact with me. I may need your services again."

"Stop! Who are you?"

Shannon adopts a fighting stance but relaxes when he sees your face.


"So it's you! You've got to be pretty brave
the way you strutted in here, all casual like! Unless the monsters here are friends of yours! Hahaha!"

"Are you here to help look for that strange girl?
It's no surprise that there's trouble again in the forest.
I didn't need to wait for her to tell me."

"Why didn't I tell General Ifu and Lieutenant Jessica?
I can only say that things haven't exactly been very pretty around here recently."

"I thought it best not to let those idiots find out too soon.
We've all ready made all the arrangements for a counterattack."

"A strange magical energy is gathering in the forest,
but because it's mingling with the scent of wisewoods in a complex ecosystem,
our sorcerers have been unable to detect it."

"That girl is also pretty formidable, and prepared well in advance
to be able to handle those things. Here, take this gem."
