"Are you trying to come-eh, it's impossible. Let's just concentrate on the hunt," Haimu insisted.

"A huge golem known as the Barbed Lak lurks here," whispered Haimu excitedly.

"Are you bored with hunting? You just want to know the truth? Well, the travelers you could save by slaying this beast think their lives are just as important as your little quest for the truth. And the scholars need you to slay it so they can study the rocks."

"Don't worry about it, %c%. Just defeat the Barbed Lak. I know you can do it."

"Those monsters make it impossible to sleep at night," Haimu commented, clearly annoyed, as he let out a long, loud yawn.

"Don't underestimate those monsters. They are quite clever and will have you chasing your own tail unless you're smart about how you approach them."

"I can't believe that they've done so much damage to such an utterly beautiful place."

"Amazing! You managed to destroy those monsters so quickly! Please tell me your secrets! How did you do it?" Haimu pleaded.

"You took care of these problems so quickly; you're incredibly talented."

"Unfortunately, the populations of those annoying pests show signs of increasing. Can you help me destroy more of those monsters?"

"I love this place, from the gentle breeze on my skin to the salty smell of the sea stinging my nose. Try saying that three times fast-salty smell of the sea!"

"I digress. Monsters are destroying this pristine landscape."

"I haven't seen such a beautiful sight for a long time, and I'm not about to let it sink into oblivion."

You describe to Haimu the unusual chain of events that led you here and hand him the gold coin you picked up earlier. Though he appears attentive to your words, his eyes continually shift as if on the lookout for something.

"A strange vision, you say?"

He suddenly stops fidgeting with the coin and holds it up to his face, thoroughly scrutinizing every bit of its surface.

"I think I'd better hold onto this for you to be on the safe side. It's incredibly fortunate that you were the one to pick this up, Sprite Messenger. I'd rather not imagine what would've happened had a person with less integrity spotted it first."
