City Official Samuk

"Welcome to Celestia. What do you want?" Samuk grunted. His forehead was slicked with a thick layer of sweat.

"The Praetorian Guard? Oh, you're from the Guard camped outside. Well, we don't have any escaped prisoners here."

"So you are just a Sprite Messenger, and they asked you for help? You said that you've met the governor? Oh, please excuse my manners; I'm talking without thinking!"

"Those monstrous birds are a strange omen. They used to fly around the city, but they were never quite so aggressive."

"Thank you for dealing with the problem."

"I've just been too busy lately to deal with things that happen outside the city. Good thing you're here!"

"The situation with the Praetorian Guard is troubling, but we're lucky to have you helping both sides," Samuk said with a dry laugh.

"You said the Guard wants to move into Celestia. Interesting," commented Samuk.

"Well, since you've helped our fair city, tell Zala to let the Guard in!"

"The magical mist outside this city must have caused the mass migration of monsters. The Praetorian Guard likely ran into a lot of issues on the road."

"Those violent monsters are a big problem for our citizens, too. Since we have a shared problem, perhaps we can work with the Guard to save our land."

"Those walking plants have become a real nuisance."

"If they keep spreading, Celestia will be in big trouble."

"Please drive them away. I've got other work to do." Samuk returned to his work.

"Oh, what now?" Samuk grumbled.

"Don't bother me with trivial matters!"

"Excellent. I hope this will bring us a few days' respite. These problems have been driving me mad."

"Thank you for everything you've done for Celestia," Samuk turned his attention back to his reports.

"This city still has plenty of other problems. We've got issues on the ground and in the sky," Samuk muttered, shaking his head.

"How can such a small city have so many issues?!" Samuk shouted, pulling at his hair.

"Hey, can't you see I'm busy here? You're only adding to my stress!"

"This is from the Praetorian Guard, you say? Let me have a look..."

"This is more of a burden than a gift, but I can't refuse, now can I?" asked Samuk, clearly annoyed.

"I'll use this on the people of Celestia. Thank the Guard for me."

"Listen closely: the Guard is the official army of Kaslow, but they're no better than common bandits. You need to wake up and make the right choice."
