"I saw you speaking with Cliff."

"Cliff's trip to the ruins didn't go so smoothly. Did something happen?" asked Rick, concern crossing his tanned face.

"I've been so busy analyzing samples that I haven't had a chance to ask him about his journey."

"He found a fossil, you say? Let me take a look."

Rick accepted the Weathered Altar Stone.

"Is this the Weathered Altar Stone? Fantastic." Rick inspected it with a magnifying glass.

"I wonder what kind of ceremony this fossil is used for. Let me do some research."

"This stone was used in ancient ceremonies. I'm not sure which type, but if we can gather the energy of the Ruins Keeper, we may uncover the fossil's secret.

"Will you join the expedition?"

"Please bring back a Ruins Keeper's energy. You'll find the creatures at the ruins near camp."

"The ancient ruins were once a properous city. Now, creatures made from the ruins' rocks occupy the area."

"I don't think those guardians were everyday rocks, though. They must have been something much more."

"We need the Protector's Energy to continue our research."

"This is it! Protector's Energy."

Rick injected the energy into the fossil. Its shape suddenly changed as though it were putty.

"We're very close to a breakthrough," muttered Rick, concentrating on the fossil.

"The ceremonial fossil Cliff found should be able to activate a certain city's defense mechanism."

"We need to break through this defensive layer to further investigate the city's secret. It won't be easy."

"Take this Ceremonial Stone to the center of the ruins and activate the defense mechanism."

"I'm counting on you. When you're done, come report back to me."

"The ceremonial rock created by the guardian will initiate a powerful ceremony."

"Once the latent energy is manipulated, it can be dangerous. Be very cautious. There's no room for error."

"And make sure to break the ancient M-DEF mechanism."

"You say a giant guardian god of the ruins appeared, huh? And you found a book about it?"

You gave the Avira historical records to Rick.

"This could be the key to unlocking all of Avira's secrets. Astounding. I'll have to do some more research." Rick flipped through the records, his jaw practically hitting the floor.

"Thanks for your help."

"Adventurer, the archaeology camp needs your help."

"Please look for my good friend Knight Lilia. She's a member of Ilya's White Flame Order and defends the ruins from outlaws."

"Knight Lilia lives to the north of Bandits' Lair but south of the ancient ruins. You can take a small, quaint road to reach her.."

"She awaits your assistance."

"Can you help? I'm exhausted!" Rick tried to catch his breath.

"Can you bring this soil sample to archaeology camp researcher Gode? I've been meaning to bring it myself, but I keep losing track of time. I've been playing a lot of Eden Eternal lately. That game really sucks you in!"

"The Holy King's Tomb's poisonous gas smells putrid, and it's starting to affect residents," Rick said, pinching his nose closed. "It's like it gets in my mouth, and I can taste the rankness. Ew."

"Can I ask you to help?"

"Take this Analytical Instrument and collect a poisonous gas sample at the Holy King's Tomb. It's located in the southernmost point of Land of Sighs."

"I have to analyze the gas's content to see if I can concoct some sort of remedy."

"We can smell the foul poisonous gas here, so heaven knows what it's like at Holy King's Tomb in the south."

"Quickly go to Holy King's Tomb and obtain sample of poisonous gas. I need to analyze its content as soon as possible."

You gave the poisonous gas to Rick.

"Ew, what color is this, puce? Gross!"

"I must resolve the issues with the poisonous gas pollution, or the archaeologists will have to leave the area."

"I just wish I knew what was in this junk," said Rick. He peered at the greenish gas as it swirled with a glass jar.

"My good friend Moson does research work at Misty Wetlands in the north, but lately, he's encountered some trouble."

"He should still be in the southeast area of Misty Wetlands."

"I haven't heard from him in a while, though; can you check on him?"

"What brings you here, great Sprite Messenger?"

Rick greets you sarcastically, apparently not in the best of moods.


Perhaps he's had a run in with another grouchier Sprite Messenger.

You explain why you are there and hand him the furs,
but his face remains ashen throughout.

"What are these for? Do you think they're going to buy my help?
You Sprite Messengers underestimate me!"

Although you don't know what's happened, you apologize all the same.

"Humph! So you don't know what your companion has done?
Well, I supposed you couldn't know any better."

"Hand me those furs! If you need help with something, just tell me.
Don't just stand there like an idiot!"

You're welcome to take a look around, but please first
get rid of the Ruins Golems--they're getting in the way of our archeological research
and making it impossible to for us to get on with our work."

"But don't underestimate how powerful these golems are... I don't know where the energy that's driving them is coming from,
but they're much stronger than you'd think."

"Where did the scorpions in the Holy King's Tomb come from?"

"Why are you interested in this?"

"Ah, I don't mean to question you, but ordinary people, even Sprite Messengers, rarely show any interest in this."

"I thought you'd prefer to just act."

"Just kidding. Don't be angry."
