"This land is not as fertile as it once was. I'm not sure about pollution's effects on it."

"I would like to collect some samples from plants for analysis; maybe I can figure out the heart of the issue."

"You seem like a clever, willing adventurer. Could you get some infected herbs from the Wicked Wisewoods?"

"You can find the Wicked Wisewoods to the south of the Gas Vents."

"It may seem like all hope is lost, but I really do want to save this place."

"I have lived here for several decades. I saw it grow and prosper, then become barren and deserted. Most young people moved away, but my heart belongs here."

"Thank you." Pine took the sample herbs and examined them.

"This place is polluted; there's no disputing that. But perhaps through research and analysis, we can find a solution."

"I fear that we lack the materials needed to save the plants, though."

"There is a special mix solution in Red Coconut City in Angoya Island; it could be useful for my studies of the plague."

"Angoya Island is a tropical island located on the southwesten ocean. Red Coconut City is their largest city."

"You can arrive in Red Coconut City by boat from Tataya fishing port in Southern Island. When you get there, buy a bottle of Special Blending Agent from the grocery so I can dissolve herb samples."

"Also, bring me a bottle of Barro Fermented Juice from Red Coconut City."

"Red Coconut City in Angoya Island is truly the perfect place for a vacation."

"And their Boerlogo Wine? Fantastic." Village Leader Pine kissed his fingers to indicate the wine's superior quality.

"As we all know, alcohol is the cause of and solution to all of life's problems."

"The wine sets my tastebuds on fire with awesome! I mean, um, the tanins are really nicely developed." Pine coughed, embarrassed.

"Now we can begin to analyze the soil and plant pollution."

"I will give these items you collected to researchers, and I believe they will discover the source of the pollution."

"Could you help the Old Bern City again?"

"There is a cemetery called 'Dead End Cemetery' to the south of Plague Forest."

"After the outbreak of the plague, skeleton wolves began lingering in the area. Please destroy the wandering skeleton wolves."

"I can't believe they've desecrated our ancestors' tombs. It's embarrassing. Now that the wolves are gone for good, perhaps our relatives can finally rest in peace." Leader Pine knitted his hands together tightly.

"When will this land be cured?"

"You killed the skeleton wolves? Thank you!"

"No one knows when those beasts began roaming the cemetary. The old cemetary watcher died from a severe illness, and no one's really sure what happened afterward. The whole place sort of fell off the radar and faded into a nightmare zone of skeleton wolves."

"I need to browse the diary of cemetery management; perhaps we can get to the bottom of what happened."

"Before the watcher died, he told me that he put the Cemetery Management Log in a safe near a deserted house in the cemetary."

"Could you go get the Cemetery Management Log? Graveyards really freak me out, or I'd do it myself. Oh, and destroy those skeletons while you're at it."

"I hope no one-or thing-destroyed the Cemetery Management Log."

"Please be careful." Pine insisted, looking fearful.

Paine opened the management log and read aloud...

"...As I was patrolling deep into the cemetery, a large hole suddenly appeared on the mountain wall, and hundreds of bugs emerged from it..."

"The bugs burrowed into the ground, and horrifying cries and screams started coming from beneath the earth. Then, something began crawling out."

Paine continued reading.

"I desperately rushed back into the house, but... something started grabbing my feet... It was the deceased!"

"The bugs have taken control of the bodies of the dead... They're out of control!"

"It all started from that hole deep in the cemetery...

"Looks like bugs are at the root of the issues in the cemetery."

"This is a bottle of Pesticide alchemists in Kaslow made to dispel bugs." He handed you the bottle gingerly.

"Take this bottle to the cemetary and pour it into the cave entrance of the mountain wall. That should kill the bugs."

"Bugs controlling the dead-it's not the first time I've heard of such a horrid thing."

"A traveler from the far east told me such stories, but I always thought they were just old wives' tales." Pine touched his chin, deep in thought.

"I fear that this is one issue we can't just step on and squish."

"Did you kill the bug? Excellent!" Leader Pine clapped his hands in glee.

"I think that bug revived the corpses in the cemetery. Everyone in the Old Bern City shall remember your feat forever."

"Someday soon, perhaps the land will regain its lush greenness. Thank you,%n%."

"Good backgrounds are the most important thing for love! Only then will they find happiness!"

(You look at Pine doubtfully.)

"You don't think so? Would you want your daughter married to a good-for-nothing and spend the rest of her life living in poverty?"

"Look at that drunkard Foster. I'm glad that I didn't let my daughter marry him!"

"He claims to be the descendant of a great sorcerer. Well, even if that were true, his ancestor would be ashamed of him now. It'd be different if he could MAGIC up a job and a shower!"

"How could I bear to let my daughter suffer along with him?"

"Humph! That fool Foster! He killed my daughter!"

"If it wasn't for him, my daughter wouldn't have become sick. She could've married into a good family!"

"Ugh! Just look at him! He spends his days blind drunk!"
