"A specialty of Optima, the Defense Crystal, is a rare mineral that can create enchanted barriers." Lyon starts to explain the mission.

"When we mined Defense Crystals, Beastmen would always raid us. But they have no knowledge of magic and cannot use the crystals, so they threw them into boxes and bottles and left them out in the field."

"The elder wants us to retrieve the crystals to reinforce Optima's defensive barriers."

"Help me gather them! The two of us together should make quick work of it!"

You are confused, since magic barriers do not sound like Lyon's strength. Why did the elder assign him a mission like this?

"Um... I don't really know myself." You notice Lyon blush a little.

"Anyway, the elder may have his own reasons. All we have to do is finish the mission. Haha!"
