Originally, the southwestern shore of the border was inhabited by many vicious and hideous sea monsters. However, whether captivated by Psiren's beauty or moved by her WIL, the sea monsters did not attack her.

Psiren remained on the shore, waiting day after day.

The sea monsters, though, gathered around her and protected her. They grew closer and closer to her, and with time, they began to emulate her. When Psiren cried, they shed tears, too. When she screamed, their voices echoed together over the ocean

The ugly sea monsters gradually grew to look more like Psiren.

Psiren's appearance began to change, too.
