Wendy happily accepts the ribbon and the book before turning her attention back to the work at hand. You're curious to see what's she's up to, so you take a peek. What you see next comes as a mild shock.

She is using the lady's book to give not herself but the mini mecha soldier a makeover! She ties the ribbon over the cannon. Lovely.

As soon as she's done, she proudly shows you her 'cute' mecha soldier. Perhaps she's not quite ready for a mainstream romance at this point in time...
