L52. The Hidden Pain

You opened the letter from Marla.

"I once had an adventurous, brash son. Eight years ago, he went off in search of adventure. He never returned."

"At first, I thought he'd gone to the city. I didn't expect the knights on patrol to bring back his half-broken staff made from crocodile teeth. It was his prized possession; I gave it to him."

"Please help me avenge my son's death by killing the crocodiles in Misty Wetlands."

"Have you found the crocodiles? They lurk in the Misty Wetlands."

"I don't know who else to ask for help. I hope revenge dulls my pain."

"You've helped me tremendously. You fulfilled the wishes of a mother who lost her beloved child. I'll keep his memory in my heart forever, knowing that his soul is free and avenged, and I'll continue to fight for Ilya in his name."

"I hope you know what you've done for me." Marla's eyes shimmered with tears.
